| I'm an atheist; no religion. I like the ideas of Buddhism though. :] But I don't really see the way I believe in Buddhism as being a Buddhist, I just... don't believe in all those paranormal things, and shit. | |

| Episcopalian Christian. It's actually an Indian form of Christianity extremely similar to Episcopal. | |

| The form of Christianity? If you want to research it, it's called the Mar Thoma Church. Saint Thomas founded it when he brought Christianity to India. The leaders and founders of the church define it as "Apostolic in origin, Universal in nature, Biblical in faith, Evangelical in principle, Ecumenical in outlook, Oriental in worship, Democratic in function, and Episcopal in character." But the service is quite similar to an Episcopalian service. | |

This, I find many Buddhist ideals fascinating, but I do not hold myself to them or believe in anything supernatural. I am a devout atheist :p | |

| EDIT: I apologize, I though this was a debate topic XD. But to answer the question i'm considered Jewish but honestly do not follow a religion, I just believe in a "god" or some natural force. I apologize ahead of time for the length of this post, but I do have many perspectives on religion. Most of my family is Jewish, although some of my family is Christain. I hope no one takes offense of my statements as I am giving my own opinion of this matter because it's somewhat difficult to debate over a topic this controversal in our world because there really is no definitive answer that we are capable of knowing. I believe that religion is beneficial to the world because it gives people hope and gives people something to cling to when they are trying to overcome obstacles or overwhelming events. It is also nice because it gives people a chance to express themselves and to celebrate what the believe in through holidays such as Christmas. However, religion causes more cons than pros in my opinion because of the extent religious beliefs are taken. Religion is often taken too seriously in our world, and it often results in many murders and unecessary global controversies. It's nice to believe in something, however, no one( and i dont care who you are) knows which religion(if any) is right. If there is such a thing as heavan and/or hell, and we are forced to choose the correct religion to support, then basically we are all playing a game, in which case i'd probably lose given the fact that I am not a religious person at all. But perhaps just being a good person in general would allow you to go to heaven if such a place exists. The point is that there is no way of knowing. We can guess and believe what we want, but noone has a theory that has been proven, so there is no point in being defensive about a certain religion. I do have alot more to say on this topic but i've already written too much, but I hope everything I've said somewhat makes sense and contains some logical statements. Don't you feel like you wasted some time reading that? XD.

Yeah, I notice when some people are extremely happy and everything is going well for them, they seem to forget about "God"...I'm not saying everyone does this. It's just something that came up in our RE lesson. - Quote :

| Yeah exactly, and another thing just came to mind. Say that a mother and a son that just got into a brutal car accident because the mother wasn't paying attention. The son is critically injured and needs immediate exploratory surgery, but the mother is not critically injured. The doctors spend 12 hours in surgery to repair his damaged organs and broken bones and he ends up surviving under the care of the hospital staff for 3 weeks. The mother then responds to this by thanking god. Thanking god that he saved her son, but hardly thanks the doctors and surgeons that dedicated their time and effort to save her son's life. My point is that many people cling to a "god" (no matter what your perspective of "god" is) to the point that they become ignorant of any other help. | |

| Haha, and when the doctors fail, it's "God's decision" and "fate". | |
